The Bangladesh army and the Muslim settlers opened fire on the indigenous people on 28 September 2025 at Guimara in Khagrachari district. The indigenous people were protesting the rape of a minor indigenous girl by the Muslim settlers on 23 September, 2025. 3 indigenous people were killed and 19 were injured in the attack.
